IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Richard
Walker
September 25, 1961 – March 20, 2023
Monette- John Richard Walker, 61, passed away March 20, 2023. He was born September 25, 1961 in Nowata, OK to the late Robert and Laree Walker.
John was a man who held many titles throughout his life: husband, brother, father, record-holder for longest ski jump on Wii Sports, and, perhaps most important, friend. To be friends with Johnny Walker was a gift. He was kind and generous and was always willing to offer a listening ear to anyone who needed it. John was a steady and sure presence in the lives of those around him. Someone you could always count on to keep a promise or have your back when the time came.
John, along with his wife Murelene, became the owner of Frank's Pub and Grill in 2017 and loved spending his time playing pool, throwing darts with his buddies, and dancing the night away. He and Murelene were also the owners of J & M Ginserv for 30 years, and he took great pride in running his business and servicing many gins throughout the South. Together, John and Murelene, built two thriving businesses and were a valuable asset to their communities.
John was also a family man who loved spending time with his wife and children, taking beach vacations and road-trips across the country. Some of his favorite days included searching for seashells along the shore, soaking up the sun with his girls, and sitting down for nice meal and a cold beer after an adventure-filled day. He will be remembered for the laughs he brought to those around him and his unshakable faith that things will always work out in the end.
He is survived by his wife, Murelene Walker; daughters, Makensie Walker, Jenny Walker Hillhouse, Kelly Walker and Tina Walker Roeland.
The family will have a private celebration of his life at a later date.
