Mr. John Lee Lindsey, of Harrisburg, departed this life Sunday morning, December 6, 2015, in Memphis, at the age of 65. He was born March 18, 1950 in Turrell, Arkansas, the son of the late Edgar Lindsey and Iva Church Lindsey. John was a construction worker most of his life and was a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Fay Lindsey. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Lindsey of Hendersonville, TN, one son, John Lindsey of Harrisburg, 3 brothers, Bob Taylor (Bonnie) of Chatsworth, CA, William Lindsey of Leonard, TX, and Wayne Lindsey (Charlotte) of Harrisburg, 4 sisters, Gina Myers (Jerry) of Jonesboro, Mary Rowlett (Stanley) of Jonesboro, Rebecca Wooldridge (Dennis) of Bono, and Ivy Gayle Olcott of Foxlake, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye, with full military honors, under the direction of Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg. Friends may visit at the Funeral Home Thursday, noon till 1:30 p.m. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
