John David Guinn Jr, 65, of Cherokee Village passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro.

John was born July 13, 1958 in Memphis, TN to the late John David Sr and Anita Sue Blumenthal Guinn.  He worked at a homicide and special victim's investigator for the Memphis Police Department for more than 20 years.  After moving to Tarrant County, Texas he worked as an investigator for Child Protective Services.  John was an Air Force veteran and loved motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents John David and Anita Sue Guinn.

John is survived by his wife, Jill Ann Woods; sons, Joshua Guinn of Burlison, TX and Michael Guinn of Cherokee Village; stepchildren, Samuel (Suzanna) Woods of Austin, TX and Burklee Woods of Lemoore, CA; grandchildren, Cora, Emma, and Grayson Woods of Austin, TX; sisters, Suzanne Walsh and partner Kenneth Stringer of Ravenden, Carrie Marrs of Memphis, TN, and Elizabeth Guinn of Memphis, TN; brother, Lewis Guinn of Memphis, TN; and many other relatives and friends.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
