Pocahontas - John Phillip (Phil) Futrell - 72, passed away August 22, 2010 at Pocahontas Nursing \u0026 Rehab. Born October 19, 1937 in Pocahontas. He is preceded in death by father J.M. Futrell. He is survived by wife Gwendolyn Lou Futrell of the home. Daughters; Johna Mannen of Grapevine, TX and Cara Bryant of Pocahontas. Sons; David Futrell and Mark Futrell both of Pocahontas. 10 grandchildren; Christa, Sarah, Alyssa, and Clay Mannen all of Grapeville, TX. Jonathan, Jessica, Jacob Futrell, Breanna, Olivia, and Jared Futrell all of Pocahontas. Mother Lalia (Crawford) Futrell of Pocahontas and brother Byron Futrell of Pocahontas. Mr. Futrell was a member of Church of Christ, Northeast Arkansas Pharmacists Association Officer; Pocahontas School Board; Bank of Pocahontas - Board of Directors; Church of Christ - Elder; Randolph County Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Arkansas First Responder; National Rifle Association - Member; Lions Club of Pocahontas - Charter Member; Pocahontas Bass Club - Founding Member; Ducks Unlimited - Member. Memorials may be made to Truth For Today; 2209 S. Benton; Searcy, AR. 72143 or Paragould Children's Home; 5515 Walcott Rd; Paragould, AR. 72450. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Mel Futrell officiating. Burial will follow in Chesser Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday night from 4-8:00 p.m.
