John (Jack) Earl Thielemier, 87, of Pocahontas passed away May 15, 2023 at his home.

Jack was born November 2,1935 in Engelberg to the late Benny and Anna Schaechtel Thielemier. Jack was a huge cardinal fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Thomas, and Daniel Thielemier; and sister, Joann.

Jack is survived by his wife, Virgina (Nancy) Vandergriff Thielemier; children, Tony Thielemier, and Dale Thielemier of Pocahontas, and Nick Thielemier of Georgia ; grandchildren, Destiny Thielemier, Kylie Thielemier, and Kensie Thielemier all of Pocahontas; brothers, Bernard (Sharon) Thielemier; Sydney (Raynetta) Thielemier, Gary (Melissa) Thielemier, and Leonard Thielemier; sisters, Marcia Golden, Carolyn (Tom) Luter, Lena Faulkner, Barb Swann, Rose (Dennis) Hutsell, and Christine (Coy) Slusser ; sister-in-law, Shirley Thielemier and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 5-7 PM in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11 AM at St. John Catholic Church with Father Elser officiating. Burial to follow in St. John Cemetery.
