John Burks, of Salisbury, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

John was born October 22, 1955, in Burley, Idaho, to George Morris Burks and Margaret May Morrison Burks. He attended Salisbury High School. During his senior year, John began working for John and Howard Ratliff and continued for several years, until he became a long haul semi driver.

John is survived by his wife, Joyce Burks; two daughters, Becky Cole (Teddy) of Jonesboro and Shelly Burks of Huntsville, Missouri; two grandsons, Gage and Kyran Burks; two granddaughters, Kinley Burks and Murphy Cole; brothers, Pete Riley of Prescott Arizona, Dean Burks of Keytesville, MO and Michael Burks (Jeannie) of Salisbury; sister, Sue Day of Denver, Colorado and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by parents, George and Margaret; brothers, Jim Reilly and Dan Burks (Sue Ellen) and a sister, Georgia Ann.

Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church in Salisbury, Missouri on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2pm.
