Pocahontas - Johanna Lina Smith, passed away on October 21, 2018 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House surrounded by loved ones.

Johanna was born on August 25, 1925 in Hurden, Germany to Karl and Lina Steuben Hoelzle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lambert Smith; sisters, Gretel Walz, Hedwig Schell; and brother, Walter Hoelzle.

She is survived by children, Hans Ott of Rothenburg, Germany, Cornelia (Edward) Sanderlin of Mosby, Christina (Lawrence) Smith of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Eric, Stephanie, David and Christina Sanderlin, Bridget (Paul) Fonder, Anthony (Lindsey) Smith, Andrea (Seth) Hardage, Natalie Ruple; great grandchildren, Emily and Eli Sanderlin, Sagan Smith, Makenzie Ruple, Oliva and Chadwick Hardage; and brother Karl Hoelzle of Hurden, Germany.

All services will be at St. Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5-7 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7 PM. Funeral mass will be Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11 AM with Father Mariadass Vallapaneni officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Eric Sanderlin, David Sanderlin, Anthony Smith, TJ Montgomery, John Farley, and Bryan Elmore.
