Jonesboro- Joey Scott Hawkins, 59, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at his home. Scott was born September 10, 1963 in Jonesboro to Lee Roy "Sonny" and Ruby Alice Watson Hawkins.

Scott was a former truck driver and enjoyed fishing, hunting and racing. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sonny Hawkins; his paternal grandparents, Daily and Eva Hawkins; maternal grandparents, S. A. "Bunk" and Mildred Watson.

Scott is survived by his parents, Gomer and Ruby Alice Branscum; son and daughter-in-law, Trevor and Stephanie Hawkins; grandson, Harrison Hawkins; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Verlon Wright and many other family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Medlock officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

The family will received friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Tim Culbreath, Blake Culbreath, Jimmy Hawkins, Don Brooks, Eric Watson and Jerry Allen.
