Joe E Hall Jr. of Pocahontas passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 at his home at the age of 84. He was born January 15, 1931 in Pocahontas; son of Joe E and Ola Murry Hall. He was a cement mason, and served as Pocahontas Assistant Police Chief from 1968-1980 and Randolph County Sheriff from 1980-1982. He as preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores Slayton Hall; two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, Ralph (Ann) Hall of Bryant and Steve Hall of Salem; three grandchildren, Kathryn (Brad) Henry of Little Rock, Jordan (Stefanie) Hall of Chaffee, MO, and Jasmine Hall of Little Rock; three great grandchildren, Reese Henry, William Hall Henry and Maverick Hall; two sisters, Jewel Dean Bishop and Lola Madge Walls, many nieces and nephews, and many relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Carl Massey and Jim Waterworth officiating. Internment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time for service at McNabb Funeral Home.
