Obituary

Jonesboro- Joanna Alberta Justice, 90, died Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Lexington Place Healthcare and Rehab in Jonesboro.

She was born on April 14, 1929. Justice was a retired teacher, having taught elementary school in Bay, Lake City, Jonesboro and Brookland. She received an Associate of Arts degree from Southern Baptist College (now Williams Baptist College) and a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Arkansas State College (now Arkansas State University). She was a life member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an honorary teachers' sorority. She taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School for many years at Central Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Larry" Justice, and her parents, Ora Goins and Ruby Ward Holly.

Survivors include a son, Travis Justice of Conway; a daughter, Gwen Carr of Jonesboro; three granddaughters, Blaire Justice, Anne Turner and Rachel Knowles; two grandsons, Jason Jackson and Andrew Jackson; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Alma Deen Daughhetee.

Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

Service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Don Blackmore officiating. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chad Baker, John Burns, Jamey Daughhetee, Phill Hamlin, Matt Jackson and Blaine Thetford and honorary pallbearers, Danny Daughhetee, John Daughhetee and Cecil Wilkerson.
