James Charles “Jimmy” Menard, 86, of Imboden passed away Monday, August 10, 2026 at Randolph Home.

He was born January 19, 1940 in East Saint Louis, Illinois to the late Aubrey Preston and Ruth Nell Wells Menard. He was united in marriage to Wanda Harris on December 22, 1962. Jimmy worked for the Brown Shoe Company until the factory closed. He then worked as the custodial supervisor at Black River Technical College until retirement. He enjoyed fishing and raising small livestock. He was a longtime member of the Birdell Church of Christ where he served as a deacon and Bible class teacher. In later years he enjoyed worshipping with the Pyburn Street Church of Christ. Jimmy was a gentle soul who touched the lives of every person he met.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Menard and Ruth Wells Menard; his wife, Wanda Menard; and his brother, Jerry Menard.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Cindi (John) Barber of Imboden; son, Shannon (Katrina) Menard of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Jordan (Rhonda) Barber of Pocahontas, Jessica (Jay) O'Rourke of Havelock, NC, Miranda (Michael) Littlejohn of Parkin, Lennox Menard, Hadassah Menard, and Weston Menard of Pocahontas; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; siblings, Judy (Bobby Liles) Allen of Pocahontas and Donna (John) Utnage of Imboden; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

All services will be held at Birdell Church of Christ. Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10 AM with Joshua Dement officiating. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
