Mr. Jimmy Dale Fowler, of Trumann, departed this life on Thursday October 11, 2023, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, at the age of 79.

He was born July 9, 1944, in Weona, the son of Lilburn Fowler and Ethel Fowler. Jimmy married Linda Weaver on November 1, 1963, and they enjoyed fifty-seven wonderful years together. Jimmy dedicated his life to following Jesus, loving and caring for his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members, as well as his church family. Jimmy spent his spare time doing odd and end jobs for his church, going on vacations with his family and witnessing to others about Salvation. Jimmy was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church for twenty-five plus years. He was highly active in all aspects of the church. Some of his many roles were Sunday School Director, Discipleship Training Director, Head of Security and many, many more. He is known and will always be remembered as one of the most helpful and caring persons you'll ever meet. He would do anything for anyone that was needed if he could, no questions asked.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Fowler; father Lilburn Fowler; mother, Ethel Fowler; brothers, Leon Fowler, Dale (Bo) Fowler; brother in law, Royce Morgan, and sister, Phyllis Fowler.

He is survived by his son, Jim Fowler (Erin) of Olive Branch, MS; two daughters, Dawnette Schmidt (Jim) of Savage, MN and Barbara Fowler of Ardmore, OK; two brothers, Larry Fowler (Karen) from Trumann, Ronnie Fowler (Glenda) of Clear Water, Florida; two sisters, Brenda Gatlin (Wayne) from Conway, Donnie Morgan of Monticello, Glenda Fowler of Jonesboro; eleven grandchildren, Timothy Chandler, Danielle Mourer, Joshua Schmidt, Rachelle Schmidt, Davis Schmidt, Zachery Fowler, Parker Fowler (Daijah), Nikki Addison (Garth), Sarah Masters, Rachel Masters and Emma Fowler; seven great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Garrett, Bentley, Alice, Corrin, Sahara and Bishop; and numerous nieces and, nephews.

Celebration of Life services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Providence Baptist Church in Trumann with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating.

Private interment (family only) will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg.

Friends may visit just prior to services, 10:30-11:00 a.m., at the church. Services will be streamed live on the Providence Baptist Church Facebook page.

Pallbearers will be Larry Fowler, Parker Fowler, Ronnie Fowler, Scott Whitaker, Tim Chandler, Zachery Fowler. Honorary pallbearers are, Boyce Whitaker, Jim Schmidt, Nikki Addison and all the men of Providence Baptist Church.
