Bono- Jimmy James Allen, 81, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at. Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

He was born April 15, 1940 in Jonesboro to Julian and Pearl Allen. He worked at Barton's Roofing and Jonesboro Roofing. He loved playing music, guitar, piano and writing songs. He did some recording. He enjoyed fishing as a pass time. He was a Christian man and had pastored two churches.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Pearl Allen; three half-brothers, Gene, Herbert and Hershel Jones and a half-sister, Mary McMorris.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Donna Allen; a daughter, Tonya Allen of Jonesboro; a son, Aaron Allen of Bono and a brother, Julian Allen of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Autumn (Matt) and Andrew Allen.

A memorial service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
