Pocahontas - Jim Marion Gullett, 66, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010. Born October 10, 1943 in Pocahontas to the late Joe and Lucy (Wheeler) Gullett. He is survived by wife, Cecelia (Carter) Gullett of the home. Son, Danny Gullett of Memphis, TN, mother-in-law Mary Carter of Pocahontas, sister Hattie Robinson of Pocahontas and brother Robert Gullett also of Pocahontas. He will always be remembered as a nationally known softball coach for many years and was an amateur softball association deputy commissioner for 20 years. Services will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Jon Fears and Larry Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8. There will be a meal served directly after service is over at Eddie Mae Herron Center. Pallbearers include: Sherman Ballard, Buster Swann, Billy Gills, Willis Johnson, Joe Huddleston, Dave Williams, David Wellman, and Jerald Robinson.
