Jonesboro- Jewell Dean Lasley Ballew, 68, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at her home.

She was born November 21, 1949 in Monette to the late Dennis and Maude Coots Lasley. She was a homemaker and a landscaper.

She is survived by her children, Connie Burford, Mary Peel, Delle Hazelwood, Nathan Ballew Sr., and Anthony McMillian all of Jonesboro; her oldest grandchild and caregiver, Raquel Ward; twenty-two other grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ballew; three children; three grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rhonda Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dustin Hazelwood, Clayton Kelley, Michael Nix, Nathan Ballew Jr., Jeremy Ballew and Phillip Beebe and as honorary pallbearers are Stevie Daniel and Marcus Bailey.
