Harrisburg- Jessye Thomas Adams Jr., 81, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

He was born January 6, 1939 in Trumann to the late J. T. and Vada Marie Forbis Adams and grew up in the McCormick Community. He was a longtime Deacon at Lebanon Baptist Church and loved his church family. He was a past master of Poinsett Lodge # 184. Daddy always said "my favorite day is a day when I can reach out and touch all my kids." He enjoyed being with his wife, kids and grandkids hunting, fishing and spending time at the family cabin, affectionately known as Pa's Ridge, named after his father, J.T. Sr.

Tommy was married to Joyce the love of his life for sixty-three years and owned and operated Adams Appliance Service for more than 40 years.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Marie Adams and a grandson, Jackson Thomas Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce "Dink" Waters Adams; four children, Paula Robertson (Ken) of Jonesboro, Pam Pugh (John) of Harrisburg, Thomas Adams (Piper) of Sidney and Chris Adams (Tina) of Brookland; four grandchildren, Jeff Pugh (Rebecca) of Springdale, Zachery Adams of Brookland, Madison Giles (Joseph) of Little Rock and Madyson Blankenship of Sidney; a sister, Shirley Parker of Jonesboro.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Gregg-Weston Funeral Home.

Service will be private.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are John Sutton, Mike Smith, Charlie Smith, Kevin Caldwell, Ray Phillips and Brad Phillips and as honorary pallbearers, Mike Casebier, Richard Sanders, Jeff Spiegel, Harold Miles and Poinsett Lodge # 184.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Lebanon Baptist Church.
