Jesse Wright Shannon III, passed peacefully in his sleep on May 31, 2023. He was born on November 22, 1953 in Elkhart, Kansas, to Jesse Wright Shannon II and Katherine Loftis Shannon. His father died while he was still an infant. His mother later married Paul DeClerk, who adopted and raised Wright with his mother. He grew up in Pocahontas, Arkansas and later moved with his mother Katherine DeClerk to Springdale, Arkansas. He was proceeded in death by his parents. He attended Arkansas State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1976. He also received his diploma in 2001 from Northwest Technical Institute in Computer Information Systems and Technician Specialist.

Wright was a faithful volunteer at the Bread of Life Food Pantry in Springdale with the First Methodist Church.

Wright is Survived by his stepsister Pat Wilson as well as many cousins and friends. Wright was a lifelong Razorback fan and enjoyed attending all Razorback sporting events, traveling to countless in and out of town Razorback games. His hobbies included cycling, running, hiking and genealogy. Wright had a servant's heart, always putting others first.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 12th at the First United Methodist Church in Springdale. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM with the Memorial Service following at 10:00 AM. His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 15th at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 AM immediately followed by a graveside service and burial at the Masonic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bread of Life at First United Methodist Church in Springdale, Arkansas.
