Jesse Lynn Ewing, 89, of Maynard, passed away Tuesday June 23, 2020 at his home.

He was born May 12, 1931 in Benson, AZ to the late Carl and Lessie Ewing. He graduated from high school in 1949 from Utopia, TX then moved to Maynard, AR where he met and married his wife of 68 years, Wanda Ann Roberts Ewing, on December 22, 1951. Together they raised two sons, Danny and Larry.

Lynn was devoted to his family and his community. He was a member of the Maynard Church of Christ, served on the Maynard School Board and the Maynard town council, and was a Boy Scout leader. In 1971, Lynn helped establish the Maynard Fire Department which he proudly served on for nearly 50 years.

Lynn was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the time of the Korean War. He was a life member of the VFW post 4556 Honor Guard. Lynn was a business owner and manager at the Pro Group Company in Pocahontas, AR from which he retired.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Ann Ewing;, two sons, Danny (Sherry) Ewing of Jonesboro and Larry (Mary) Ewing of Maynard; four grandchildren, Robert Ewing of Augusta, GA, Joanna Ewing (fianc Andrew Warren) of Conway, AR, Laura (Henry) Smith of Little Rock, AR, and James Ewing (fianc Kara Inness) of Maynard, AR; two brothers, Don (Vivian) Ewing of Cedar Hill, MO and Carl (Sandy) Ewing of Benson, AZ; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Members of the Maynard Fire Department are honored to serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the Maynard Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. with Ligie Waddell officiating. Burial will follow at the Maynard Cemetery with military honors.

Services are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
