Obituary

Jonesboro- Jerry Lee Williams, 74, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Flo Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born July 5, 1941 in Jonesboro to the late Milford and Ruby Mae Barnes Williams. Jerry served his country proudly in the Arkansas National Guard. He retired from General Electric. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He loved golf, hunting, fishing and antique cars. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Anna Morrison Williams; a daughter, Robin Leah Alexander of Jonesboro; a grandson, Will Hall Alexander of Weiner; a brother and his wife- Michael and Marian Williams of Flower Mound, Texas; two nephews and their wives, Weston and Stephanie Williams of Dallas, Texas and Travis and Kristen Williams of Austin, Texas; a niece, Savannah Williams of Flower Mound; a great-nephew, Austin Williams of Austin, Texas; his step-mother, Billie Williams of Jonesboro; six cousins, Harold McGill, Doris McGill Reynolds, Judy Hogan Perkins, Sandy Williams-Stacks, Doug Williams and Patricia Barnes Wrinkles. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Ohnick and a cousin, Ricky Williams. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be 1:30 pm, Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Kevin Cochran, Curt Hodges, Dale Gray, Victor Hutcheson, David Doyle and Harold Clark. The Agape Life Group of Central Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Owens, the nurses and the entire staff of Flo Phil Jones Hospice House for the exceptional care and loving kindness. The lasting memorials may be sent to Central Baptist Church or Flo Phil Jones Hospice House.
