Monette- Jerry Leon "Peanut" Way Sr., 77, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.

He was born May 22, 1946 in Monette to the late Thomas Earl and Mary Bearden Way. Jerry retired from Crop Production Service. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing.

He was survived by his children, Jerry Way Jr. (Rebecca), Shelly Baney (Chris) and Sherry Way; grandchildren, Tyler Way (Brittany), Lauren Hilding and Rachel Hilding; great-grandchildren, Serenity Way and EverLee Woods and special friend, Francis Grant and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Kelly.

The visitation will be from 5 until 7:00 p.m. Monday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

A celebration of his life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Gregg Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Macey Cemetery.
