Obituary

Mr. Jerry Rieathbaum, of Harrisburg, Arkansas, departed this life Thursday morning, August 27, 2015, at the Southern Pines Nursing Home in Maysville, GA, at the age of 70. He was born August 5, 1945 in Harrisburg, the son of the late Homer Rieathbaum and Bertha Courtney Rieathbaum. He lived almost his entire life in Harrisburg and was a carpenter. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was caretaker for Holly Springs Cemetery for many years and a member of the First Assembly of God in Harrisburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Rieathbaum in 2006, 8 siblings and a grandson, Adam Blackwood. He is survived by two daughters, Tolonda Lemay (Ervin) of Cleveland, GA and Tina Allen of Rogersville, AL, two stepsons, Michael Blackwood (Margie) of Harrisburg and Jeremy Blackwood of Durant, OK, two brothers, Donald Rieathbaum of Conway, AR and Carty Rieathbaum of Harrisburg, one sister, Katherine DePriest (Austin) of Higden, AR, eight grandchildren, Christopher Lemay, Benjamin Lemay, Alisha Holland, Charley Danielle Gilliam, Courtney Allen, Vanessa Partida, Tanner Blackwood and Trey Blackwood, and one great granddaughter, Aubrey Holland. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert "Bud" Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday evening, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
