Pocahontas- Jerry Wayne Davenport, 72, passed away on May 2, 2017 at home.
Jerry was born October 19, 1944 in Latham, TN to Fred and Maycel Davenport.
Jerry was strong in his faith and his love with God. He spent all of his life being a cowboy and truck driver. We want to thank all his truck driving buddies. We want you to know how much he enjoyed each of you and loved you all. Thank you for being there year after year, mile after mile, state after state. He loved his church, his family, his friends, his neighbors - Flash - will never be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shelby Davenport; daughters Leshia Davenport, Renee Cathey; brothers, Joe Davenport, Billy Harrison; sister, Freddie Sue Greer; grandson, Steven Edquivel; and great grandson, Trevor Coburn.
He is survived by wife, Connie Balis-Davenport; children, Yvonne (Glen) Tanner of Camden, TN, Betty Konecney of Ravenden, Wonda (Kevin) Freitag of Milan, TN, Bonita (Nicky) Clay of Stillman Valley, IL, Debbie Coburn of Pocahontas, Marlin (Kim) Balis of Deerbrook, WI, Cindy (Pat) Meyer of Stevens Point, WI; grandchildren, Christie Zosso, Sabrina Thomas, Tosha (Chris) McMullin, Geffery Freitag, Amy Clay, Jennifer Hawkins, Dustin Thomas, Andrea Clay, Gabrielle (Justin) Patterson, Jake Kellett, Amy Tanner, Garret Balis, Will Balis, Keith Meyer, Dalton Meyer, Misty Boone; 16 great grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Gail Mays of Mayfield, KY.
Cremation was chosen and no services will be held. Arrangements under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
