Obituary

Harrisburg- Jerry Dewayne Allison, 72, departed his life on Saturday, May 26, 2018.

Jerry was born June 2, 1945 in St. Louis to the late JP and Hortense Allison and was the oldest of seven sons. He married Donna Sefers in 1964 and recently celebrated their fifty-fourth wedding anniversary on May 23. He worked as a truck driver for over forty-five years and was widely known by the C.B. handle "Piano Picker", which sprang from his fondness of playing the piano which he taught himself to play by ear. Jerry was a thirty-second degree Mason. Jerry loved fishing, spending time with family and friends. He thrived on time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Allison of the home; children, Andrea Smith (John) of Trumann, Jerry Allison Jr. (JoAnna) and Chuck Allison all of Jonesboro; five brothers, Larry Allison of Villa Rica, GA, Gary Allison of Campbell, MO, Ronnie Allison of Harrisburg, Mike Allison of Rector and Roger Allison of Paragould; five grandchildren, Matt Smith, Tyler Allison, Kain Smith, Mallorie Petefish and Jesse Allison; great-grandchildren, Geneva, John Allen, Annabella, Nora, Grayson and Brooks; mother-in-law, Lorelle Sefers, whom he affectionately called "Grandma".

He was also preceded in death by his youngest brother, Tony Allison; his father-in-law, Arvil Sefers and a grandson, Jeremy Petefish.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Gregg- Weston Funeral Home. Service and burial will be private.
