Jenetta Faye Smith, 82, of Pocahontas, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Jenetta was born on October 24, 1942, in Corning, Arkansas, to the late Alfred Larry Head and Juanita Shipley Head. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a beacon of unwavering faith, Jenetta lived a life rooted in service and love. She found great joy in sharing her faith and lived each day guided by her strong spiritual beliefs. She was of the non-denominational faith and a faithful attendee of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Her life was a testament to her devotion — to her faith, her family, and her community. Her steadfast love and guidance shaped generations, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 62 years, Gerald Ray Smith; her son, Johnny Ray Smith; her sister, Aleta Jean Payne; and her brother, Alfred Larry Head.

Jenetta is survived by her children: Jerry (Jodi) Smith of Rolla, MO; Susan (Mitch) Rowe of Pocahontas; and Sonia (Wayne) Meridith of Pocahontas. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Shayla (Marcus Cummings) Smith, Brad (Ashley) Rowe, Heather (Cody Martin) Oberkramer, Jarrett (Whitney) Meridith, Alicia (Dan) Cline, Courtney Morgan, Amanda (Michael Lee) Rowe, Sarah (Charlie) Adams, Billy (Sydney Souza) Smith, and Corey Rowe.

Her legacy continues through her beloved great-grandchildren: Emma Schnider, Madison Schnider, Jordan Gottschalk, Akeelah Leigh, Devin Martin, Heaven Martin, Karter Meridith, Lake Meridith, Lennox Meridith, John Cline, Maevery Morgan, Cam Morgan, Blaine Blevins, Bobby Lehenbauer, Breyer Lehenbauer, Jordan Adams, Braxton Adams, and Malachi Adams; sister, Theresa Kay Campbell of Poplar Bluff, MO., and brother, Teddy Lee Head of Poplar Bluff, MO. She also leaves behind a multitude of extended family members and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home. Please join us as we celebrate the beautiful life of Jenetta Faye Smith and rejoice in the hope of eternal life in Christ.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Jarrett Meridith, Corey Rowe, Devin Martin, Charlie Adams, Billy Smith, Randy Branch, and Mack Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers include Harold Wayne Head, Jerry Smith, Wayne Meridith, Mitch Rowe, Lee Wayne Head, Joey Head, Timmy J. Smith, and all the compassionate nurses and staff of Randolph County Nursing Home.
