Obituary

Mrs. Jean Frances Harbin of Harrisburg, departed this life Sunday, June 26, 2016, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 64. She was born June 29, 1952 in Rootville, GA, the daughter of the late Samuel McKinley Walker and Deila "Dot" Hopper. Jean was a homemaker and a Christian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Wayne Harbin, one sister, Irene Walters and two brothers, Frank Burgess and Clifton Burgess. She is survived by one daughter, Jodie Scoggins of Harrisburg, one granddaughter, Kimberly Walker of Waldenburg, one great granddaughter, Kylie "Shea Shea" Newsom of Waldenburg, her son-in-law, Perry Miller of Harrisburg, her grandson-in-law, James Newsom of Waldenburg, her boyfriend, Jimmy Peifer of Harrisburg, two sisters, Evelyn FunderburgofBlack Fish, AR and Ruth Gay of Oregon, a niece, Jackie Turner of Jonesboro, and special friends, Phyllis Moore, Georgia "Prissy" Billings, Christy Hadley Davis, and Julie Hinds and family. Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, with Brother Eddie Passmore officiating. Friends may visit Thursday morning, 9:00-11:00 a.m. Following services, her body will be cremated and her ashes buried at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR. Those serving as honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Peifer, Perry Miller, James Newsom, Phillip Billings, Lloyd Ballentine, Jerry Epps, Brett Green, Donnie Davis, Sr., Donnie Davis, Jr., Georgia "Prissy" Billings and Christy Hadley Davis.
