JC Haynes passed away May 25, 2015 at his home in Pocahontas, Arkansas. JC was born August 17, 1929 to Charles Thomas (Tom) Haynes and Euel Wheeless. During Dad's life he farmed in the Skaggs and Sharum Communities with his dad and retired from Brown Show Company in Pocahontas in 1990. Dad never met a stranger and had a sense of familiarity that made everyone he met feel at ease. Dad "never met a man he didn't like". He enjoyed singing and was a member of the choir at the First Freewill Baptist Church of Pocahontas. He is survived by his son, Michael (Carolyn) Haynes, of Houston, TX and daughter, Renee (Mike) Baker of Pocahontas, three grandchildren, Misty (Michael) Counts and Kristin Baker, both of Pocahontas, and Charles (Tommy) Haynes of New York City; 6 great-grandchildren: Dylan Counts, Landon Counts, Layne Counts, Lexy Simmons, Hunter and Garrett Starling. He is also survived by his sister Tommie Geraldine Johnson of Little Rock and brother, Tommy Gene Haynes of MacAllan, Texas. Several cousins, the sons and daughters of Gladys (Gale) Bennett, Ilah (Tommy) Johnson, Ludell (Eather) McCluskey, Inez (Bill) Murphy, Dalton (Ollie) Wheeless, Zelma (Billy) Ellis, Shirley (Lee) Huckabee, John (Lena) Haynes, Milas (Fanny) Haynes, Charles (Novella) Haynes,Jr., Wanda (Lavell) Foster, Charlene (JL) Ward, Daily (Pauline) Haynes, Leona (Remmel) Blansenship, Veoma (Bill) Segraves, and Myra Nell (Leon) Tidwell have always been an inportant part of Dad's life. The family offers special thanks to Leroy and Cathy Elam, Larry and Janice Hinkle, Raymond Rickmond and Tonya Johnson for their friendship and service to Dad over the past few years. You are true Guardian Angels. The family will receive friends Friday, May 29, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held the following day Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Nelson Henderson officiating. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery. In leu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the First Freewill Baptist Church of Pocahontas.
