Obituary

Janie Qualls, 83, of Lake City, passed away January 30, 2025, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born in Caraway to the late Paul and Opal Earnhart.

She was a woman of strong faith, a prayer warrior, and a spiritual mentor to many within her family, church, and Celebrate Recovery. Her greatest joy was seeing the sweet faces of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: Debbie (Phil) Fletcher of Jonesboro, Jill (Kenny) Miller of Pennsylvania, Kenny (Loretta) Qualls of Lake City, and Karen (Ronnie) Bruce of Monette; one sister: Paula Earnhart of Caraway; one brother: Gary (Becky) Earnhart of Caraway; eight grandchildren: Kimberly (Jarrod) Dement of Jonesboro, Brittney Cato of Heber Springs, Leah (Corey) Arlequin of Pennsylvania, Garrett (Lauryn) Qualls of Lake City, Courtney (Ryan) Crawford of Brookland, Shelby (Aaron) Cagle of Montana, Caleb (Katelyn) Bruce of Lake City, and Alexis Zamora of Jonesboro; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Qualls.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jarrod Dement, Garrett Qualls, Ryan Crawford, Aaron Cagle, Caleb Bruce, and Grady Qualls.

Visitation will be held on Saturday February 1, 2025, at 10a.m. at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with funeral services to follow at 11a.m. Burial will be held at Cain Island Cemetery.
