Mr. James Floyd White of Harrisburg departed this life Saturday, September 7, 2019, at his home, at the age of 89.

He was born August 8, 1930, in Marked Tree, Arkansas, the son of the late Clarence Levi White and Lula Mae Yarbrough White. James was a general contractor and worked in construction most of his life. He was an Entrepreneur and Landlord. He owned and operated a grocery store and service station on Hwy 163 for many years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner for over 60 years and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married Hazel Bledsoe in 1982 and they enjoyed 30 years together before her death in 2012. He was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Hazel Bledsoe White, he was preceded in death by one son, James Neil White, three brothers, Clarence Otto White and his wife Geraldine, Arthur Oneal White and his wife Sue, and his twin, Gene Lloyd White, and one sister, Doris L. White.

He is survived by two sons, Johnny Dwight White of Newport Richey, FL and Danny Ray Rouse of Flint, MI, one daughter, Diana Lynn Matney (Kenny) of Swartz Creek, MI, five grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Patton (Jason) of Grand Blanc, MI, Julie Burt of Hartland, MI, Johnathan Arins of Newport Richey, FL, Damon Justis of Newport Richey, FL and Brandon Arins of Newport Richey, FL and one great grandchild, Chelsey Angelene Burt of Swartz Creek, MI.

Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2019, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Farm Hill Cemetery near Harrisburg with full military honors.

Friends may visit at the funeral home, Thursday evening, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Johnathan Arins, Brandon Arins, Kenny Matney, Doyle Wayne White, Ronnie White and Donnie White.
