James Ephrian Throgmorton passed away November 19, 2019 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 80.
He was born to William and Tempa (Johnson) Throgmorton on November 24, 1938 in Randolph County, AR. He married Cindy Funchess on March 24, 1974 and they had 4 children. Mr. Throgmorton was a loving husband and father, an avid astronomer, and enjoyed traveling the United States and the world, having visited over 20 countries. He was a member of The Churches of God and was an ordained minister for over 30 years. He joined the Army after High School where he was stationed at Hanford, WA and Fort Churchill, Canada. He was the owner of Camera Corner Studios Professional Photography which he opened in 1960.
James was preceded in death by his parents; and children: Jamie Throgmorton, Aaron Throgmorton.
He is survived by wife, Cindy Throgmorton; daughters Amanda Tinker \u0026 husband James Tinker of Pocahontas, Elise Throgmorton \u0026 husband Christopher Graves of Powder Springs, Georgia; sister Willene Marasigan of Tampa, Florida; His grandchildren are Alex, Liam, Spencer, Jackson, Eden, and Quinn.
A private family memorial service was held in Powder Springs, Georgia on November 23, 2019. His wishes were to be cremated.
Arrangements were under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
