James David Stephens, age 67, passed away on January 8, 2025, at the Estates of Perryville in Perryville, Missouri.

James was born in Exeter California, on July 5,1957 to the late Clifford and Patsy Stephens. James grew up being of Pentecostal belief. He was a 1976 graduate of Fox high school in Arnold Missouri. He loved to walk and take long drives with his dad. He also loved playing baseball and swimming. He worked in a gas station, later worked in a muffler shop and did work delivering auto parts. He also worked in a machine shop later.

James is survived by two brothers: Tim Stephens of Arnold, Mo and Dan (Katherine) Stephens of Rockhill, Mo; a half sister Brenda Derden of southern Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Eugene Merrill officiating. The burial will be held at Macey Cemetery.
