Jonesboro- James Louis Smith, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

He was born January 25, 1932 at White Hall to the late Woodrow and Lillian Roach Smith. In his younger years, he worked in farming and then as manager of the Harrisburg Water Department. Louis lived most of his life in Harrisburg. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Smith.

He is survived by his children, James William Smith, James Lynn Smith, Barbara Cunningham and Lenett Ball.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2023 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel.
