Obituary

Jonesboro - James Grady Osborn, Jr. (56) passed away from this life on Monday evening, April 2, 2018 at Memphis Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN. He was born March 6, 1962 in Jonesboro and attended Jonesboro Senior High School. He lived in St. Louis, Mo. for 15 years working as an electrician before he returned home to Jonesboro.

Those that knew him will remember him foremost for his love and talent in playing guitar. Creating and playing music was his passion and forever dream. And like our father, he had a very nice voice when he sang. He very much enjoyed his work as an electrician working on many hospital locations with installation of new technology in St. Louis, Mo. He could ooze with charm and laugh and be comfortable in any setting. He enjoyed good food and nice atmosphere and was a generous tipper to those that made dinning pleasurable. Cherry cheesecake and ice cream and chocolate were his sweets of choice. He liked good suspense /action movies and watching TV. He could talk politics like Dad but with his own perspective and his own level of intensity and humor. Jimmy liked motorbikes and going fast. He liked setting in the sun and reading. One of his greatest comforts were his fur-babies: Gwennie and Lucy. His true spirit on his best days was smart and kind and important.

He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Osborn; sisters, Gwen Gardner of Conway, Ginger (Jeff) Richards of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Gerry Mark Osborn of Mablevale, and Isaac James Osborn of Conway; nieces and nephews, Michael Sean Osborn, Amy Caroline Osborn, Dana (Jason) Barnett, Melinda (Jamey) Black, Laurie (Ray) Galloway, Ginny Gardner, Molly (Clay) Parker, Charley (Jassa) Gardner, Maggie Howe, Michelle Osborn, Kathryn (Blake) Jones, Patrick (Joanna) Mulcahy, Shane Mulcahy, Sarah Richards, Faith Richards and twenty-two great nieces and nephews.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, James Grady Osborn, Sr., brother, Gary Michael Osborn and infant sister, Lara Osborn.

Visitation will be April 11th from 11:30 to 1:00 with Memorial following at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 West Matthews Ave. in Jonesboro. A graveside service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
