James "Jimmy" Franklin McDowell passed away December 16, 2022 at his home.

Jim was born May 27, 1954 in Columbus, OH to the late Hughie and Viola Clara McDowell. Jim was the pillar of his family. He loved playing pranks on everyone. He also loved to have fun and laugh at get togethers. His family meant more than anything and he loved every one of them. Everyone that knew him called him "pap" or "pappy". He was a huge part of every one's life and there was never a dull moment when he was around. He will be greatly missed. We all love you pappy.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Susan; sisters, Geri and Sara; father-in-law, Sam DeAngelo; and sister-in-law, Karen McDowell.

He is survived by his wife, Debra DeAngelo McDowell; children, Jimbo (Jackie), Paul (Sherry), Sean (Clarissa), Mitch (Nikki), Johnna (Larry), Vickie (Sabastian), Joshua (Jamie), Destiny, Jasmine; grandchildren, Lindsay, Devin, Cassey, Kristin, Kyle, Courtney, Makaylee, Miah, Ethyn, Lukis, Ayden, Kayla, Landen, Nevada, Caiden, Gaige, Russy, Serenity, Enoch, Jeremiah, Elana, Tytan, Jacey, Elliot, Araya, Domenick, Dawson; and 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Ted, Hughie "buck", Barbara "Corky", Linda, and Diane; brother in law, Anthony "Rick"; and sister in laws, Kathi and Toni.
