Bay- James Luther "Luke" Johnson, 71, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014. He was born on September 1, 1942 to the late Frank Luther Johnson and Imogene Taylor Johnson. Employed by Fowler Food for many years, he leaves behind Wallace Fowler and many other lifelong friends at Fowler Foods. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Wes and Elizabeth Johnson of Jonesboro and Shane and Jeannie Johnson of Bay; long time friend, Lavetta Archey of Bay; a brother, Paul "Doc" Johnson of Jonesboro; a sister, Dianne Brumit of Texas; five grandchildren, Rachel Alcorn, Sarah Dulaney, Rebekah Johnson, Jenny Johnson and Shianne Johnson; two great-grandsons, Conner Alcorn and Conner Johnson. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Carpenter and Cybil Johnson. A celebration of his life will be 10:00 am, Monday, February 10, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:00 pm, Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Wes Johnson, Justin Dulaney, Phillip Rodgers, Cooper Taylor, Jimmy Johnson and Randy Field. Lasting memorials may be sent to Arkansas Children's Home in Morrilton.
