Harold Cantrell
January 11, 1942 – July 22, 2025
Mr. James "Jim" Harold Cantrell, of Harrisburg, departed this life Tuesday, 22, 2025, at Woodbriar Nursing Home, at the age of 83.
He was born January 11, 1942, in Manila, Arkansas, the son of the late Harold Edward Cantrell and Norma Lee Wheeler Cantrell.
Jim went into the Air Force and worked as a mechanic, then sold cars and owned a small trucking company. He was a master of deals. Jim loved to tell stories, and he was a avid hunter, fisherman and gun collector. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Jim had an influence on many lives, he loved people, and he was loved by many.
In addition to his parents, Harold and Norma Lee Cantrell, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leda Joy Cantrell, a son, Jimmy Lee Cantrell, a daughter, Teresa Lynn Cantrell, two sisters, Mary Carolyn Cantrell and Brinda Swan, and a grandson, Buddy Lee Cantrell.
He is survived by his stepson, Michael and his wife Becky Roark, two grandsons, Spencer Clowers and H.W. Cantrell, two granddaughters, Rachel Roark and Emily Hoskins. Brothers, Bob, Charlie, Dennis, Doyle and one sister, Dianne Grant. Eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, neighbors and church family.
Those honored to be pallbearers are family and friends.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, 25, 2025 , at Shiloh Baptist Church on Hwy 163, with Brother Kenny McMahan officiating. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye. Visitation is Thursday 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church.
