Jonesboro- James Douglas Gearhart, 51, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from a heart attack, a few days before his birthday.

He was born May 11, 1968 in Memphis to Leon and Carolyn Anderson Gearhart. James loved playing his guitar, visiting with his many good friends and cooking on the grill.

He is survived by his fianc, Nicole Morgan and her children, Samanta and Adrian; his mother, Carolyn Gearhart; brothers, Jeff Gearhart and Scott Gearhart (Sandy); a step-daughter, Catelyn Hall; step-son, Cody Hall ; a nephew, Corey Gearhart and extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his father, Leon Gearhart.

A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno with Rev. Roger Hovis officiating.

A visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, May 8, 2020 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers are Mike Jones, John Ollis, Vince Brown, Greg Oden, Jeff Gearhart, Corey Gearhart and Scott Gearhart.
