Obituary

Lake City- James Dale Cooper Jr, 25, passed away July 16, 2014 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1989 in Jonesboro to Lisa Ann Pirtle Cooper and the late Jimmy Dale Cooper Sr. James attended Riverside Schools and the NEA Learning Center and he later attended the Focus Day Program and was a part of the Focus Home Program. James will be remembered as a loving son and brother and a very sweet and loving young man who loved car rides and music. The family would like to extend special thanks to Flora Brewer, the Focus Program and the Craighead County Health Department Nursing Staff for their kind and caring support, I.V. Specialist, Carrie Ray, the Nursing and Techs of St. Bernards Hospital, Dr. Julie Dow, Dr. Warren Skaug and Dr. Stephen Bates. Survivors include his mother, Lisa Cooper of Lake City; sisters, Kathryn Pirtle and Holly Jean Pirtle of Lake City, and Tammy Cooper Watts and husband Jason of Trumann; grandmother, Mary Koegel of Jonesboro; nephews, Joshua Pirtle, Landon Cooper, Logan Pirtle and Calvon Branscum, niece, Adriana Pirtle five uncles and nine aunts as well as many other family and friends. He is preceded in death his father, his grandfathers, David K. Pirtle and Archie W. Cooper; grandmother, Wilma Robertson; aunt Kathy Ward and an uncle, Tony Cooper. A mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 am Tuesday July 22, 2014 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Jack Vu officiating. Interment will follow Lake City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening, July 21, 2014 from 6-8 at Gregg Langford- Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. Jonesboro. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jason Watts, Archie Cooper Sr., Archie Cooper Jr., Chase Parrish, Mark-David Pirtle and Tim Cooper Sr. and as honorary pallbearers, Tim Cooper Jr., Christopher Pirtle, Brandon Pirtle, Samuel Pirtle, Joshua Pirtle and Thomas Matt Cooper.
