Jonesboro - Mr. James Leslie Coffey, 70, departed this life Friday, May 10, 2019, in Little Rock.
He was born December 31, 1948, in Jonesboro, the son of the late Leslie J. Coffey and Jimmie Kathryn Stark Coffey. He grew up in Black Rock.
Jamie graduated Jonesboro High School in 1966, and attended Arkansas State University. He married Judi Jacobson August 17, 1974, and they enjoyed 45 years together. He was a Partner and Publisher at Rainbow Educational Concepts in Jonesboro. He was an accomplished harmonica player and was a member of the West Finch Blues Band. He also enjoyed shooting and hunting and was a competitive marksman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Nathan Robert Hulett.
He is survived by his wife Judi Coffey of the home, three daughters, Betsy Moore (Austin) of Memphis, TN, Lisa Hulett (Cidney) of Little Rock, and Emily Coffey of St. Paul, MN; one sister, Christy Rothgery of Jonesboro, and four grandchildren, Marshall and Jacob Moore and Scotty and Kassie Hulett.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2019, 1:00-3:00 p.m., at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
