Pocahontas - James Lavern Burnside, 58, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010. Born August 09, 1952 in Newport. He is preceded in death by father Carl Ray Burnside and sister Sarah Burnside. He is survived by wife Nancy Burnside of the home. Three sons; Todd Burnside of Hoxie, Tanner and Brandon Burnside both of Pocahontas. Three daughters; Rhonda Kildow of Bono, Rene Palmer of Pocahontas, and Carla Brown of Fayetteville. 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, mother Marjorie Burnside of Clover Bend, AR. 5 brothers; Doug Burnside of Shreveport, LA., Gary Burnside of Cardwell, MO., Paul and Terry Burnside both of Walnut Ridge, AR., and Harold Burnside of Paragould, AR. 5 sisters; Judy Hoffmeister of Luling, TX., Brenda Johnston of Cherokee Village, AR., Wilma Simms of Forrest City, AR., Wanda Burnside of Shreveport, LA., and Malinda Burnside of Pocahontas. Mr. Burnside was a 1970 graduate from Cloverbend High School \u0026 was an owner/operator truck driver for 30 years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with James Coker officiating and Randy Lingenfelter officiating. Burial will follow in Wells Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday night from 5-8 p.m. Pallbearers include: Eddie Palmer, Doug Burnside, Gary Burnside, Paul Burnside, Terry Burnside, and Harold Burnside.
