Mr. James Edward Buckley of Harrisburg, AR departed this life Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at his home, at the age of 68.
He was born July 8, 1948 in Elaine, AR, the son of the late William Webster Buckley and Edna Scercy Buckley.
Charles enjoyed hunting and fishing and hunting for arrowheads. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Charles was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Harris, a son, James Buckley, Jr. and his wife Carolyn Buckley.
He is survived by two sons, DeWayne Buckley (Erica) and Charles Buckley, of Harrisburg, two brothers, Clarence Buckley of Black Oak and Larry Buckley of Mt. View, two sisters, Joann Brewer of Highland and Kay Sexton of Mt. View, seven grandchildren, Sara Buckley, Haylee Buckley, Lucy Buckley, Landon Buckley, Caroline Buckley, James Buckley, III, and Lance Buckley, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Danny Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in The Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery at Birdeye with full military honors. Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday, 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will include Dewayne Buckley, Richard Galloway, Randy Wigginton, Scott Scercy, Jeremy Scercy and Kirk Douglas.
