James Barry Thompson, 56, of Pocahontas departed this life Thursday, October 31, 2024, at St. Bernard Five Rivers Hospital. He was born in Pocahontas on May 22, 1968, to the late James H. Thompson Jr. and Velma Virginia Kennedy Thompson.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Velma Thompson.

He is survived by his sisters, Andrea (Shawn) Rowe of Pocahontas and Kimberly (J.) Matheny of Ravenden; one niece, Hannah Rowe of Pocahontas; three nephews, Tyler Matheny of Williford, Kanyon Matheny of Ravenden and Owen Rowe of Pocahontas; two great nieces.

Cremation has been chosen as final disposition under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
