Jonesboro- Jae Renck, 90, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home surround by loved ones.
He was born March 4, 1930 in Jonesboro to the late Joe and Carrie Woodruff Renck. Mr. Renck was a retired farmer and had worked at Craighead Rice Milling Company for many years. He enjoyed teaching people how to do things, going to Norfork Lake and duck hunting. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Naomi Cook Renck; a son, Mark Huffman; a daughter-in-law, Florine Renck; a sister-in-law, Gail Cook; grandchildren, David Renck of Warrensburg, MO, Kari Renck and Colbie Huffman both of Jonesboro and Josh Renck of O'Fallon, IL; great-grandsons, Samuel Renck of Warrensburg and Elliot Renck of O'Fallen and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his children, Donnie Renck, Gary Renck and Janell Renck; a brother, Donald and a sister, Margie Renck.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Jo Kee officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Zack Hazelwood, Josh Parks, Anthony Hunt, Cody Ishmael, Vance Morrison and Cameron Smith and as honorary pallbearers, Robert Cook, Jim Cook, Marvin Parks, Rick Huffman, Earl Webster, Derrick Coleman, Bob Cook, Joe Cook and T. J. Ballentine.
Lasting memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
