Mr. Jacob Harold Walls, Sr, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Thursday evening, June 26, 2014, at the St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 78. He was born October 26, 1935, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the son of the late Aaron Walls and Mamie Martin Walls. He retired from truck driving and served in the Arkansas National Guard. He really loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. He also loved to watch Westerns, especially John Wayne movies. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, his favorite driver was Mark Martin. Jacob was of the Baptist belief and enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Veda Faye Bullock, a daughter, Karen Wolfe, two brothers, Jimmy Walls and Freddy Walls, and one sister, Allene (Bubbles) Hedge. He is survived by His Wife: Sara Walls of Harrisburg; two sons, Jacob Harold Walls Jr. of Harrison and Sammy Wolfe of Blytheville, Arkansas; eight daughters, Deborah Ann Deason of Cherry Valley, Sherry Lynn Moore of Kempner, Texas, Tera Sue Rose of Daytona Beach, Florida, Stella Darlene Holt of West Memphis, Pamela Wolfe Aloqaitat of Blytheville, Glenda Annette Smith of Brookland, Kelly Campbell of Jonesboro, and Amanda Neighbors of West Helena; a brother, Pete Walls of Selmer, Tennessee; 29 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. Brandon Wallace and Rev. Jerry Thompson officiating. Pallbearers will be Thomas Deason, II, Holbrook Mitchell, Jordan Walls, Jeremy White, Kenneth Deason, and Steve Walls. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Bullock and Sammy Wolfe, Jr. Interment will follow in Tyre Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday evening, 5-7 p.m.
