Obituary

Jackie Sue White, 78, of Marion, Arkansas, passed away February 9, 2021, at home. She was born August 21, 1942, to Will and Mamie McGee in Brookland and graduated from Brookland High School.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers and sisters: Buddy McGee, Duella Madison, Kathleen Underwood, Doris Rutledge, and Tommy McGee.

She leaves behind to cherish her love Bill White her husband of 61 years, her brother Bill McGee, her daughter Terrie Besier, son Kevin White and her beloved grandson Brandon White that she raised as her own. Jackie was also grandma to Ryk Moore, Bryce Moore, and Rebecca Besier. And we are deeply thankful that she had a devoted nurse and best friend in Geraldine Massey and a sister-in-law Carol Stroud.

She began working in the cotton fields as a child in Brookland and developed an unquenchable desire to work, which she carried out until she was physically unable to continue. She always put others before herself, with a serving heart, and lived for trips to the annual craft fairs in Northwest Arkansas and shopping on Black Friday. She loved gospel music, strawberry milkshakes, Christmas movies and the rare chance to make snow cream.

Her grandson's blog said it best: "Despite losing her, I do not grieve in her absence. I know she is where we all aspire to be one day, basking in His glory. She is getting to hear gospel music like she has never known before. No pain, no suffering just joy!"
