Pocahontas- Jack Douglas Wilson, 92, passed away on November 6, 2017 in Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas surrounded by loved ones.
Jack was born September 16, 1925 in Dallas, TX to Frank and Mary Edna Barber Wilson. Jack married the love of his life, Juanita Cook, on March 1, 1949. They were married for 67 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He attended Pyburn Street Church of Christ. He served in the Marines in WWII, worked as a radio announcer at KPOC for 37 years, Circuit Clerk and Recorder for 17 years and as a proof reader at Star Herald for 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Wilson; son, Jim Wilson; brothers, Garland and Forrest Wilson; and sister, Faye Wood.
He is survived by his son, Jay Don (Teresa) Wilson of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Brown of Anchorage, AK, Suzanne (Brad) Cline of Jonesboro, Melissa (Rory Eason) Wilson and Kelley Wilson both of Pocahontas; step grandchildren, Jason (Nona) Stanley and Stephanie Stanley both of Pocahontas; great grandchildren, Kacie Wilson, Kennedy Cline, Jack Henry Brown, Dakota, AJ, Emily and Jessie Stanley; nieces, Gwendolyn Ealand, Mary Hernandez; and nephew, Doug Wilson of Texas.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 9, 2017 at McNabb Funeral Home from 12-2 pm with a funeral service immediately following at 2 pm with Nelson Henderson officiating. Burial in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Brad Cline, Rory Eason, Jimmy Cunningham, Jason Stanley, Charles Bates and Eddie Jones.
