Mr. Jack W. Stalnaker of Harrisburg departed this life Wednesday night, January 27, 2021, at the Flo \u0026 Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, at the age of 85.
He was born June 12, 1935 in Light, Arkansas, the son of the late Lucian Stalnaker and Fancy Stevens Stalnaker.
Jack grew up in Northeast Arkansas and following graduation served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Hytrol after 25 years of services and was an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Harrisburg. He loved gardening and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Peggy Stalnaker and Patsy Stalnaker, one son, Scotty Ray Stalnaker, a grandchild, Brad Griffin, and five siblings, Joel Stalnaker, Larry Stalnaker, two infant brothers, and Roxie Miles.
He is survived by three daughters, Jackie Glidewell (Michael) of Paragould, JoAnn Whitehead (Kenneth) of Harrisburg and Pam Sheffield of Harrisburg, two sons, Terry Jones (Martha) of Jonesboro and Victor Roberts of Harrisburg, one brother, Bob Stalnaker (Diana) of Lawton, OK, two sisters, Mary Decker (Martin) of Flint, MI and Ann Deboer (Dwayne) of Omaha, NB, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. Jason Goad officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge with full Military honors. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Sunday, 1:00-2:00 p.m.
