Jack Richard Dail, 84, of Ravenden, entered into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.

Jack was born on November 7, 1941, to Richard and Imal Dail, in Ravenden. From an early age, he developed the strong work ethic, kindness, and values that would define his life. He grew into a man who loved his family, faithfully served his community, and was respected by all who knew him.

After graduating from Sloan-Hendrix High School in 1959, Jack faced the challenges of finding local work opportunities. With a strong desire to provide for himself and build a future, he moved to Kansas, where he found work in the stockyards, farming, etc,. Shortly after, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army in 1964. He proudly served during the Vietnam War (Sept ‘65 - Feb’ 66), demonstrating courage, honor, and dedication to his fellow soldiers and the nation he loved. His military service reflected the selfless spirit that continued to define him long after he returned home.

Jack was united in marriage to the love of his life, Wanda Ross, on June 17, 1967, and they were happily married for 56 years. From their union, a beloved child, Shane, was born, bringing great joy and blessing to their lives. Together, they built a life centered on faith, love, and devotion to one another. They shared countless precious memories and created a lasting legacy through their family and the many lives they touched together.

Afterwards, he began building a career through hard work and dedication. He worked at Floyd’s Body Shop in Walnut Ridge. In September 1969, Jack and Wanda opened their own business known as Dail’s Body Shop and Wrecker Service, becoming a respected business owner in the community. Through his business, he not only provided quality workmanship but also lasting relationships with the many people he served throughout the years.

Jack was a devoted Christian whose faith was the foundation of his life. He was a longtime member of the ⁠Ravenden Baptist Church, where he faithfully worshipped, served, and shared his love for the Lord with others. Jack’s love for the Lord was also expressed through the gift of music. Throughout the years, he sang many special songs at church, alongside his brother, Butch. Many looked forward to hearing their annual rendition of “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem”.

Jack's love for his community was evident through his years of service and leadership. He had the honor of serving as mayor, where he worked diligently to help improve the town he loved. He also helped establish Ravenden’s first Fire Department and bring the community their first fire truck. Jack was a dedicated community leader and an active citizen of the town of Ravenden and surrounding areas. Jack had a servant’s heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether through his work, his community service, or simply by being there for a friend or neighbor, he gave of himself freely and without hesitation. When Jack wasn’t hauling vehicles, he could usually be found at local community events including antique car shows and his grandsons’ ballgames.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Imal Dail; his wife, Wanda Dail; grandparents, Ralph and Willie Hepler and Homer and Nancy Dail; his sister, Billie Ann (Cookie) Spencer; infant brother, Donnie Dail; niece, Brooke Busby; nephew, Rodney Spencer; and brothers-in-law, Roscoe Spencer and Wilbur Mead.

Jack is survived by his son, Shane (Dorinda) Dail of Ravenden; daughter, Cathy (Andy) White of Cheyenne, WY; five grandsons, Jordan Dail, Corey (Kennley) Dail, Jason (Mari) Eisenhart, Kyle (Kiana) White, and Ian (Lauren Hulett) White; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Logan, and Matthew Eisenhart. Jack’s surviving siblings include Janice Mead, Betty (Byron) Busby, Butch (Doris) Dail, and Ted (Cheryl) Dail. Jack was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and had numerous other cousins and friends.

All services will be held at the Ravenden Baptist Church. Visitation will be Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. funeral service will be held Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. All services will be held at the Ravenden Baptist Church with Brother Baron Wildman and Brother John Stoll officiating. Burial will be in Dail Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Dail, Corey Dail, Jason Eisenhart, Scotty Dail, Anthony (Fred) Dail, and Bradley Gilbreath. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Coon, Colton Dail, Zack Gilbreath, Landon Gilbreath, and Kayden Dail.

Memorials may be made to Dail Cemetery, 318 N. Anderson, Ravenden, AR 72459. All arrangements are under the direction of ⁠McNabb Funeral Home.
