Jonesboro- J. C. Tate, 72, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Jonesboro. He was born September 28, 1941 in Walnut Ridge to the late Clifford and Beulah Tate. He worked for FMC for eighteen years as a spray painter. He is survived by his wife, Jean Tate; three daughters, Lisa Qualls (Danny) of Jonesboro, Tina Tate of Oklahoma and Crystal Bryant (Benny) of Paragould; two step-children, Johniefaye Jennings of New Madrid, Missouri and Michael Wilkerson (Lynda) of Hardy; a brother, Earl Tate of Wisconsin; a sister, Emmarann Ballard of Hoxie; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Cletus Tate and a sister, Inez Tate. A graveside service will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Larry Kendrick officiating under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
