Jonesboro- Izenna Cole 88, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Hospice in St. Bernards Medical Center. Izenna was born on August 24, 1934 to Harry and Hester Kelley Evans in Bethesda. She was a member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church, and she retired form Craighead Electric. She was a devote homemaker who loved cooking for everyone. She also loved her flowers, sweets, chocolate, and a good frozen Coke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loran Cole; son, Michael Cole; and brothers, Kenneth Evans and John Ray Evans.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Murphy (James) of Bono; sons, Myron Cole (Traci) of Mammoth Springs and Mark Cole (Sonya) of Quitman; sisters, Alta Fern Roberts (James) of Jonesboro and Doris Garner (Bob) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Tyler Cole (Morgan) of Jonesboro, Jessica Gray (Trevor) of Locust Grove and Austin Murphy (Katelyn) of Bono; and great-granddaughter, Ollie Jo Gray.

Honored to serve a pallbearers are: Tyler Cole, Austin Murphy, Ray Herring, Keith Roberts, Craig Roberts, and Alan Garner and as honorary pallbearers are James Roberts and Sammy Lewis.

A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2023 at Unity Cemetery in Jonesboro with Bro. Danny Elrod and Bro. Leroy Franks officiating under the direction of Gregg– Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Unity Cemetery Fund and to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
