Smithville-Iva Grace Thacker, 85, of Smithville passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Randolph County Nursing Home. She was born March 9, 1931 in Somerset, PA, daughter of Simon and Ellen Resh Atchison. She was united in marriage to her husband of 61 years, Basil Thacker, on August 28, 1954. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and 3 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Basil Thacker; her children, Jim (Rhonda) Thacker, Debra (Rick) Snow, Barry (Jackie) Thacker, Cletha (Everett) DeJarnette, Phyllis (Craig) Campbell, Gloria Collins, Brian Thacker, JoAnn (Robert) Haddix, and June (Roger) White; grandchildren, Randi (Kent) Winslow, Jerica (Jake Mann) Thacker, Jason (Cara) Nelson, Michael DeJarnette, Brandie (Anthony) Teel, B.J. (Savannah) Thacker, Candice (Clayton) Rice, Brooke Haddix, Mackenzie Haddix, Donnie White, Aaron White, and Gracie White; eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. The familyis accepting family and friends on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at McNabb Funeral Home from 10-12 . Graveside service and burial will be held at 2 p.m. at Smithville Cemetery following visitation.
